Wow, my sarcasm detector actually went off while reading something over the internet.
Dervs and assassins are two different playstyles. Assassins typically specialize in spikes and "shadow stepping", which allows them to warp around the battlefield. Dervishes are strong pressure characters and like warriors, have a couple spikes and decent armor especially if you go with the windwalker insignia. Dervishes also get a bonus +25 health on one of their armor (chest I believe). It is free and cannot be taken off. Dervishes also have 5 elite skills that let them take on the form of a god. [skill]Avatar of Balthazar[/skill][skill]avatar of dwayna[/skill][skill]avatar of grenth[/skill][skill]avatar of lyssa[/skill][skill]avatar of melandru[/skill] Basically, if you want a spike, go assassin. If you want more sturdy pressure, go dervish. |

i like assassin better than dervish because i like the armor better and then attacking animation looks cooler. also the zodiac daggers look cool. the only thing i like about the dervish is maybe the god avatars and the collectors edition disco ball.

I like Assassins, because the profession's primary goal is remove key targets from action. Their incredibly high damage skills along with the Hell they can provide (fast conditions applied), and not to mention the versatility in their attack skills (interupt, exhaustion, knock down, conditions, ect) there's more than one way to shut down your target. Besides, it's so awesome to dance around in PvE and PvP waiting for the right moment to strike. Last edited by MercenaryK; Dec 06, 2007 at 03:05 AM // 03:05.. |

Depends on what you feel like playing, I run a sin for most PvP when needed....Dervish for PvE and some RA/TA can be fun as well...

If I want to kill things without needing to think, Assassin.
Or... If I want to kill things without needing to think, Dervish. Wait. Oh. I like them equally. But I like Warrior more. |

Assassins go for quick kills.easily done in by blind/block.
Dervishes go for versatility.easily done in by enchant removal. |

Assassins. Dervishes try to do too much and don't end up doing anything particularlly better then another class.

Dervishes are fun to play with and enjoyable to solo. The only reason why i might say don't go with the sin is due to their mockery in groups. Although sins can rock, they are discriminated in a lotta groups, since many people have a hard time using the sin to their fullest extent, they have been classified as weak, which isn't true. Dervishes are easy to use and fun, with very little discrimination.
Long story short, i like dervishes more |

Assassins.
Ninjas are cool and pissing people off is a perk you get. The very existence of a assassin in a match drive people nuts. P.S. The class is at the same time useless and totally imbalanced, sometimes the 2 things at the same time. |
